Travel insurance does not cover trips to the Russian Federation, Belarus and Ukraine
In accordance with the Travel Insurance Terms and Conditions, the insurance company follows the official recommendations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, which strongly cautions against taking these trips. We recommend that before each trip you follow the current instructions and information of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.
Who is insured?
The travel insurance covers the cardholder (a natural person whose name is stated on the card). The FAMILY Tariff family insurance covers the cardholder’s spouse and their children younger than 18 years who live permanently in a common household with the cardholder and travel together with the cardholder.

When is the insurance in force?
Travel insurance is provided to each card holder, to which this supplementary service has been concluded, for the entire term of the payment card validity. Travel insurance included in payment cards is provided to each card holder for the entire term of the card’s validity. The insurance coverage is activated for all foreign trips with a term of up to 45 consecutive days. As a matter of fact, the insurance commences and terminates upon the crossing of the Czech Republic’s border (upon leaving and upon returning). The number of journeys is unrestricted. The costs of the foreign trip need not be paid using the payment card in order for the insurance to be valid. The insurance does not cover the territory of the Czech Republic or of the country of the insured person’s permanent residence.
Commencement of the insurance
Validity of the travel insurance included in payment card commences at 00:00 on the day after acceptance of the payment card by its holder but no earlier than on the first day of the card’s validity. Validity of optional travel insurance commences at 00:00 on the day after arrangement of the insurance but not earlier than on the first day of the card’s validity.
Termination of insurance
Validity of the travel insurance included in the payment card terminates at 24:00 on the last day of the card’s validity. Validity of optional travel insurance terminates at 24:00 on the last day of the card’s validity or on day on which card holder requests its termination.
What is insured?
The travel insurance covers insured events up to the limits specified in the insurance coverage table. Please see the table of the insurance coverage limits for details.
The insurance shall not cover high-risk sports (please see the Insurance Terms and Conditions for more detailed information) or any organized sporting competitions. Should you intend to participate in such sports, please secure additional insurance before travelling. The insurance does cover normal recreational sport activities, including winter sports. Please see the Insurance Terms and Conditions for Travel Insurance, for more detailed information on the insurance exclusions; the Insurance Terms and Conditions are available at the bank’s branch offices and on the bank’s webpage. Please study the terms and conditions thoroughly before travelling abroad.
Procedure in the event of injury or acute disease abroad
The travel insurance is provided in cooperation with the Colonnade Insurance S.A., whose operators speak Czech and English and are available 24 hours a day. In the event of injury or acute disease, please always contact the assistance service as soon as possible; the assistance service will help you find the medical facility and organize all related services. Identify yourself to the assistance service by stating your name, bank name, and number of insurance policy (see the card). You will be inquired about the validity dates of your payment card, your current location, and other information necessary to organize assistance for you.

With a private doctor, you may be required to pay minor amounts in cash. If this is the case, obtain the claim form after your return (available on the bank’s webpage, insurance company’s webpage, or it can be sent to you upon request).
Any claim for reimbursement must be made within 30 days following the occurrence of the insured event. Please send the form, and the required original documents, to the address of the insurance company:
