Statement of Expobank CZ a.s. regarding the published decision of the Czech National Bank (CNB)
First of all, thank you for using the services of Expobank CZ, a Czech bank with a 29-year tradition in the Czech market. We value your patronage and look forward to further successful cooperation.
As you may have already noticed in some media outlets, the Czech National Bank (CNB) has recently published its decision following a previously conducted on-site inspection at Expobank CZ. It took place in 2019 covering the years 2017 and 2018.
As stated in the published CNB decision, there were identified deficiencies regarding 2017 and 2018, which did not have a negative impact on the Bank´s clients or counterparties.
We fully cooperated with CNB during the inspection, respectfully accepted its findings and already implemented most of the changes on our own while successful completion of the planned changes has been our absolute priority from the beginning.
We want to assure you that we operate as usual and, given the solid level of regulatory capital of CZK 2.8 billion, we remain a strongly capitalised bank even after the penalty is paid, maintain a long term level of high liquidity and are currently focusing on our strategic goals of expanding our product and service offerings to you, our valued clients.
